Financial Literacy is a comprehension of financial matters that heightens our ability to interpret and use financial information and data in a way that helps to build and maintain our financial security.

Financial literacy is a tool needed to succeed in the business world today. With new regulations providing additional information to consumers regarding free credit reports, credit scores, and risk-based pricing, NRDA believes financial institutions have an obligation to lead the public, particularly individuals and groups with a history of being underserved, to a new level of understanding of today's credit approval process. This will serve our common goals of promoting fair access and terms, and responsible use of credit.

Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Fayetteville

NRDA provides CCCS office space monthly for services to Craven, Carteret and Pamlico County residents.

Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Fayetteville (CCCS) assists residents of our communities in achieving financial well-being through counseling, education and debt management plans. CCCS is based in Fayetteville, NC and have branch offices in Goldsboro, Havelock, Jacksonville, Kinston, Lumberton, New Bern, Sanford, Smithfield, Southern Pines, and Wilmington. They also serve people nationwide by telephone, e-mail, and on-line counseling.

As a Neighborhood Financial Care Center, a variety of services are offered to help clients achieve their financial goals. Services include education in the wise use of credit and assistance with resolving debt problems through counseling and debt management programs.

CCCS of Fayetteville is a non-profit service and a member of the National Foundation for Consumer Credit (NFCC). They are accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services and certified by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide comprehensive Housing Counseling services. CCCS has provided quality services for almost 30 years.
